the Roles
As a member of our Character Cast, you play a vital role in bringing the magic to life. Working across a variety of immersive locations—including Santa’s Post Office, Mrs Claus’ Bake House, and Speedy Sam’s Driving School—you will guide families on their search for Santa through fun, laughter, and a truly festive spirit. By fully embodying your character, you’ll help create unforgettable Christmas memories for guests of all ages.
Candidates will need to have high energy levels, confidence engaging with audiences, and a passion for performance. The ability to portray a character is essential; acting experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
Green Elves
Become a Green Elf in Lapland!
Green elves are a general term we use to describe all of our elves without a predetermined backstory (Eg: Snowy Bowy, Tricky Dicky etc).
Each elf has unique personalities, quirks and behaviours which are to be decided by you as a performer once you receive your Elf name during the naming ceremony.
All elves are expected to speak in a designated manner to help maintain the sense of magic and ensure audience engagement.
As part of your application, you will be asked to submit a short audition video. This should include a brief introduction about yourself, followed by a performance portraying a Green Elf character of your choice.
If you wish to apply for one of Santa’s Special Elf roles, please note that a Green Elf audition is still required, in addition to a Special Elf audition of your choosing. All applicants will initially be considered and placed as Green Elves. Special Elf roles will be confirmed once in resort.

Our Character Elves
Santas Special Elves are characters that have predetermined back stories found in an audible story the guests hear upon arrival and within the Santa's Special Helpers storybook, which we have available for guests to purchase during their trip.
Each of Santa's Special Elves possesses unique characteristics and a distinct reason for being chosen by Santa as his special helpers.
Below, you will find a list of each Special Elf along with a brief description and the qualities we expect individuals to demonstrate when auditioning for these roles.
If you wish to apply for one of Santa’s Special Elf roles, please note that a Green Elf audition is still required, in addition to a Special Elf audition of your choosing. All applicants will initially be considered and placed as Green Elves. Special Elf roles will be confirmed once in resort.
Within the application, you will need to provide a 2-minute audition tape. This will be to introduce yourself, tell us a little bit about you and then a short Elf audition as the character you would like to apply for.
If you are auditioning for a Green Elf, then you will only need to audition as your own Green Elf Character. However, if you are applying as one of our Character Elves you will need to provide both a Green Elf and Character Elf audition.
